The Faces Behind the Gossip Machine: The Personalities Who Make TMZ Livestream Must-See Viewing—PART TWO

Published on June 16, 2026 at 3:24 AM

Spend enough time watching the TMZ Livestream and you eventually realize that the celebrity stories are only part of the attraction. While viewers may initially tune in for the latest Hollywood scandal, courtroom drama, sports controversy, or breaking entertainment news, many stay because of the people delivering it. What began as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of TMZ Live has evolved into something far more interesting—a daily gathering of reporters, producers, lawyers, content creators, and commentators whose personalities have become as familiar to regular viewers as the celebrities they cover. The chemistry between the staff, the running jokes, occasional disagreements, and genuine friendships have helped transform the livestream into one of the most unique programs on YouTube. Because there are simply too many contributors to profile in a single article, what follows is only a representative sampling of the many faces who help make the TMZ Livestream the success it has become. Countless others work both on camera and behind the scenes, and their efforts are every bit as essential to keeping the gossip machine running.

Anakin Szew stands out at TMZ because he’s both part of the on-air team and Harvey Levin’s personal assistant. Regular viewers recognize him for his commentary and for the daily segment where the livestream audience helps pick Harvey’s lunch from two options. Watching Anakin handle Harvey’s lunch order has become a familiar routine for fans, but it’s likely that his job as Harvey’s assistant is much more demanding than what viewers get to see.

Anakin hopes to become a screenwriter, which sometimes shows in how he discusses and tells stories. On air, he seems thoughtful, friendly, and easygoing. One of the most interesting things about his role is his dynamic with Harvey. Sometimes Harvey looks frustrated with something Anakin did or didn’t do. But just as often, Harvey will praise, defend, or show real affection for him. Their relationship is a mix of a tough mentor and a favorite protégé, with both frustration and fondness often showing up in the same segment.

During discussions, Anakin often sees things from a perspective similar to the women on staff. When he’s asked for his opinion, he many times sides with the female viewpoint on topics like relationships, social issues, and celebrity behavior. This has become one of his most noticeable traits and often sparks lively conversations around the newsroom table.

The main reason for his popularity is simple: people genuinely like him. He seems real. Whether he’s ordering Harvey’s lunch, standing up for a female perspective, getting teased by his boss, or sharing his dreams of becoming a writer, Anakin feels less like a television personality and more like someone viewers have gotten to know over many mornings. In a newsroom full of big personalities, his relatability has made him one of the livestream’s most loved figures.

Michael Babcock is TMZ's go-to sports expert, and his passion for the games, athletes, and stories he covers really stands out. Whether he's talking about the NFL, boxing, mixed martial arts, or the latest news about a celebrity athlete, Babcock brings the excitement of someone who truly loves sports. His reporting shows not just his expertise but also the strong connections he's built in the industry, making him one of TMZ's key links to the sports world.

But on the livestream, Babcock often talks about more than just sports. Harvey and Charles often bring him into political conversations, where his conservative views and support for Donald Trump make him a polarizing figure in the newsroom. Some viewers find his perspective refreshing, while others get frustrated or even cringe at his comments. These moments stand out because Babcock is not usually introduced as a political expert, yet he often shares his thoughts on topics far from sports.

As a viewer, I sometimes wish Harvey and Charles would push back on him more. Babcock is most entertaining when his opinions are challenged, leading to lively debates that make the livestream more engaging. Too often, though, these discussions end just as they start to get interesting.

Still, whether he's talking about a sports controversy or sharing his views on politics, Babcock is never dull. He has strong opinions, isn't shy about sharing them, and almost always gets a reaction from viewers. In a newsroom that thrives on conversation and debate, getting people talking is valuable. Whether you agree with him or not, Michael Babcock is one of the personalities viewers remember long after the stream ends.

Talia Bloch might have changed the most out of anyone on the TMZ Livestream. When she first took over hosting after Jakson Buhaj's promotion, her presence could be a lot for viewers to handle. Sometimes her energy felt overwhelming, almost like fingernails on a blackboard for those getting used to a new face in a familiar spot. But over time, things shifted. Maybe it was her growing confidence, feeling more at home in the role, or just the audience getting to know her. The same qualities that once seemed abrasive slowly became part of her charm. She found her footing and developed a unique voice.

These days, Bloch brings a lively energy to newsroom discussions. She's quick with comebacks, ready to challenge opinions, and not afraid to clash with her colleagues, especially Charles Latibeaudiere. Some of the livestream's funniest moments happen when the two go back and forth, with Charles as the exasperated veteran and Talia never backing down.

She has a performer's instinct, and sometimes she seems more like someone gearing up for a stand-up comedy career than a typical entertainment reporter. Her timing, her jokes, and her love of a good debate show that she enjoys making people laugh just as much as sharing her opinions.

As a viewer, I've grown to really like her over time. What once felt like too much personality has turned into one of the show's most entertaining parts. She's now a key member of the team, adding spontaneity and humor to the livestream. Honestly, if TMZ ever held a roast for Harvey Levin, Talia Bloch would be the perfect host—and probably the only one who could pull off the sharpest jokes.

Talia shares hosting duties with Luca Griego and Aidan Marks, two of TMZ's younger breakout personalities whose charm, confidence, and growing on-air presence represent the future of the livestream. Both have developed their own unique on-air styles and are now key to what makes the livestream enjoyable.

Luca Griego, a TMZ content creator, brings a steady and reliable presence to the show. He's articulate, professional, and always calm under pressure. Proud of his Italian roots, Luca handles his hosting duties with quiet confidence, keeping conversations on track. His reliability stands out in the entertainment world—when he's scheduled to host at 10:30 a.m., he's there on time, sometimes making his co-hosts look less punctual by comparison. He might not be the loudest in the room, but he's definitely one of the most dependable.

Aidan Marks, also a TMZ content creator, brings his own unique energy. He's tall, friendly, and openly LGBTQ+, mixing an easygoing charm with creative drive that goes beyond celebrity news. On June 1, 2026, he released his alternative-pop single "Pressure," a true labor of love. He worked on it for over a year in his bedroom studio, writing, recording, and perfecting the track before sharing it. His personality comes through on air, where he adds warmth, authenticity, and a modern, genuine perspective.

Together, Bloch, Griego, and Marks give the livestream its youthful energy. Each brings something unique, but they all share one important quality: they're easy to watch. In a show where viewers might tune in for hours, making people feel welcome is a real achievement.

Deven Rall might be one of the biggest mysteries on the TMZ Livestream, and I mean that as a compliment. He’s officially a senior producer, which sounds like a big job. Still, regular viewers might wonder what he actually does all day. Most mornings, you’ll spot him at his computer with his back to the camera, quietly working while the show goes on. Every now and then, Harvey or Charles will ask for his input, and he’ll share a quick thought or reaction before getting back to whatever he was doing.

The mystery grows when you find out Rall also co-hosts TMZ's morning podcast. Watching him, you might think he just sat down and got a list of topics he’s never seen before. But that’s probably not true. Possibly he just seems so relaxed and natural that he makes it all look easy.

Maybe that’s the answer to the Deven Rall puzzle. If viewers don’t know exactly what he does, it could mean he’s doing his job really well. The best television and news production often goes unnoticed by the audience. TMZ moves fast and has stayed successful for years, and people don’t keep important jobs there for almost a decade unless they’ve earned trust and respect. Harvey, especially, isn’t known for keeping people around who don’t contribute.

As a viewer, I find Rall interesting because maybe he’s the newsroom’s secret weapon. Whatever the reason, Rall is still one of the most mysterious people at TMZ. That’s not a complaint, just something I’m curious about. Maybe one day I’ll figure out what a senior producer at TMZ really does all day. And if I do, you’ll read about it here first.

Tawanda Robinson is one of the most likable and dependable people in the TMZ newsroom. She brings a straightforward attitude to her work, but she also has a sense of humor that makes her a great fit for the livestream. Even though viewers never get a full rundown of her job, regulars have probably noticed she’s often the one keeping things running smoothly. Whether she’s guiding Harvey and Charles to the next segment, telling them where to go, or quietly managing everything behind the scenes, Robinson always seems to know exactly what’s going on. She also seems to enjoy making sure everyone else is on track too.

Another thing that stands out about Robinson is her famous collection of ripped jeans; they’ve basically become part of her character. Harvey doesn’t seem to mind, and viewers soon realize that TMZ doesn’t have a strict dress code. Maybe she just has bad luck with moths, but whatever the reason, she pulls off the look, and it’s become part of her unique style.

On air, Tawanda often breaks into song with the same excitement as a star from an old MGM musical. If her time at TMZ ever changes course, she could end up as the opening act for her favorite artist, Chris Brown.

What I like most about Robinson is that she stands by her opinions. She obviously supports women and women’s rights, but she’s also not afraid to have views that don’t always fit into today’s usual categories. For example, she believes that on a date, the man should still pay the bill.

Whether people agree or not, Robinson doesn’t seem to worry about pleasing everyone. Even when Harvey and Charles disagree with her, she’s willing to stick to her point and explain her side.

That independence is one of the things that makes her so appealing. Tawanda Robinson seems like someone who knows what she believes and isn’t afraid to say it, even if others disagree. She’s both friendly and confident, funny and practical. She seems just as good at producing a show or winning an argument. Maybe that’s why she’s such a key and popular part of the TMZ team.

Derek Kaufman is probably the hardest member of the TMZ team to pin down, and that’s a big part of his charm. He’s officially one of their attorneys, and he often jumps in when stories involve lawsuits, criminal cases, contracts, or any of the legal messes that seem to follow celebrities. But calling him just a lawyer only scratches the surface.

Over time, Kaufman has become the livestream’s unofficial comic relief. He’s not always trying to be funny, but he often says things that make Harvey and Charles look at him like he’s from another planet. He has a knack for blurting out the boldest, strangest, or most questionable comments at just the wrong—or maybe the perfect—moment. One minute he’s giving a smart legal take, and the next he’s defending an idea so odd that everyone in the newsroom can’t believe what they’re hearing.

This back-and-forth is one of the show’s most entertaining parts. Harvey and Charles often tease him, question his judgment, or act surprised that he still works there. Harvey has even joked out loud about why he hired Kaufman in the first place.

What really makes this routine work is how Kaufman reacts—or sometimes doesn’t react at all. The jokes and teasing just seem to roll right off him. No one knows if he realizes he’s being teased, doesn’t care, or just likes the attention. Either way, he never seems bothered. In fact, he often seems happy to keep going and stir things up even more.

As a viewer, I see Derek Kaufman as TMZ’s wild card. Every group needs someone who will say what no one else will, even if everyone wishes they hadn’t. Kaufman does this perfectly. He brings legal know-how, unpredictability, and doesn’t mind being the punchline, sometimes all in one segment. The livestream could go on without him, but it wouldn’t be nearly as fun. In a newsroom full of reporters, producers, and lawyers, Kaufman somehow manages to be all three—and sometimes the class clown too.

What really makes the TMZ Livestream stand out isn’t just the celebrity gossip, legal talk, or breaking news. It’s the people. These days, so much online content feels staged and polished, but the TMZ crew feels genuinely human. They’re funny, opinionated, sometimes frustrating, and always entertaining. People keep coming back not just to catch up on Hollywood news, but to hang out with a group of personalities they feel like they know. Whether you agree with them, laugh at them, argue with them, or even roll your eyes, they’ve managed to create something rare in today’s media: a real sense of community. That, more than any headline, might be the true reason people keep tuning in to the TMZ Livestream.
